French beauty giant Sephora will open its first bricks-and-mortar store in the UK at London’s Westfield White City in March, extending the makeup retailer’s expansion into the British market.
Following the launch of its website, sephora.co.uk, and app last autumn, British customers will be welcomed into the flagship store from 8 March 2023. With 135 brands on offer — including a number of labels exclusive to the UK, including Makeup by Mario, Gxve by Gwen Stefani, One/Size by Patrick Starrr and Vegamour — the new Sephora promises to become the go-to beauty destination for Londoners.
Wrapped in the brand’s signature monochrome stripes, the highly-anticipated shop will see a number of brands make their UK debuts, such as Tarte, Glow Recipe, Supergoop!, Danessa Myricks and Kosas. Alongside this coveted selection will be an expansive assortment of beloved brands including Fenty Beauty, Drunk Elephant, Ilia, Milk Makeup, R.E.M. Beauty, Gisou, Dior, Tom Ford and Jo Malone.
At the centre of the store sits the Grand Beauty Hub, which provides a range of unique services, including express skin treatments from premium brands including Dermalogica, Glow Recipe, Elemis and Sisley. Elsewhere, customers will find Sephora’s very first Lip Bar, offering customers an array of colours and finishes, a Benefit Brow Bar, and a fragrance engraving service. For those obsessed with beauty trends viral on TikTok and Instagram, the store’s Hot on Social corner displays a curation of the 10 most talked about products on social media.
Sarah Boyd, Sephora’s UK manager, says: “After the launch of our website last autumn, we are thrilled to open our first Sephora store in one of London’s most vibrant shopping destinations. This new store will showcase Sephora’s best-in-class beauty expertise and provide unique services to UK customers, including makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, body, and personalised gifting.”
To celebrate the opening on 8 March, the first 300 customers will receive a limited-edition gift bag and attend a masterclass by special guest MUA Natasha Denona. The rest of the week will also play host to several masterclasses with brand experts from Tarte, Ilia, The Inkey List, and Huda Beauty.
