The Roman Renaissance man of Lazzarini Design has delivered several remarkable automotive and marine designs over the past decade and has become accustomed to developing some impeccably elegant concepts across the board. They have provided some eye-catching examples in the past, but the latest announcement may have stolen the show as it seems to set a new standard for luxury.

Lazzarini Design has unveiled a 27-meter Ferrari-inspired superyacht concept called the Gran Turismo Mediterranea (GTM).

Inspired by the design of classic Ferrari supercars, the concept features distinctive red bodywork made from lightweight carbon fiber. “We tried to imagine what a Ferrari of the sea would look like,” said the studio.

The concept achieves a top speed of 70 knots thanks to a hybrid propulsion system consisting of a Triple Man v12 engine, Arneson gearbox, and central Hamilton jet propulsion.

A distinctive design feature is the rear-deck folding transom, which features a huge Ferrari-style ‘bumper’ at the rear of the Concept. The GTM has a race car-style cockpit, and the main saloon has two large chaise lounges at the rear, leading to one of two double guest cabins.

The accommodation accommodates 4 people in 2 cabins, one on the main deck and one on the lower deck. Crew accommodation, on the other hand, accommodates three people in its two cabins.

Reminiscent of the Prancing Horse in every way, this gleaming 24-meter Lazzarini concept is also equipped with a sundeck that transforms into a Ferrari-tuned garage with mere a button push.

Supercar-inspired yachts are nothing new in the naval world, but Lazzarini Design Studio’s latest concept shows that such elegant ideas are not going away anytime soon.
